63rd Jio Filmfare Awards Nite has ended with guts and glory. Irrfan has walked away with Best Actor (Male) and Vidya Balan is on her way home grinning from ear to ear
And the wait for Filmfare Awards 2018 winners is finally
over! The winners of The Best Actor In A Leading Role (Male) and The Best Actor
In A Leading Role (Female) have been announced minutes ago and the trophies
have been bagged by Irrfan Khan (Hindi Medium) and Vidya Balan (Tumhari Sulu)
respectively.
The awards nite, held at NSCI Grounds (Worli), was a
glitzy affair with the who’s who of Bollywood in attendance.
Meanwhile, The Best Supporting Actor (Male) went to
Rajkummar Rao for Bareilly Ki Barfi and The Best Supporting Actor (Female) was
conferred to Meher Vij for Secret Superstar.
Hindi Medium was declared The Best Film and Ashwiny Iyer
Tiwari won the Best Director.
Talking
about Hindi Medium's big win, producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films said,
"Wow what a start to 2018 for all of us. It is great to see that when the
dust settles its good content that has emerged as a winner and this is a huge
boost for all of us to work harder in 2018."
Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar played the perfect hosts,
keeping the crowd entertained with their camaraderie and antics.
As for the performances, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar,
Parineeti Chopra, Ayushmann Khurrana and Sunny Leone among others sizzled on
stage and wowed us with their moves.
While Parineeti performed to the title track of Golmaal
Again as well as Meri Pyaari Bindu's popular number Maana Ki Hum
Yaar Nahi, Ayushmann paid tribute to iconic actors who are no longer amongst us
and sang a few of their evergreen melodies. The Shubh Mangal Saavdhan actor
also performed a hilarious skit with comedian Sunil Grover.
Hottie Sunny grooved to Baby Doll (Ragini MMS 2).
That’s not all, Filmfare Awards 2018 marked the stage
debut of Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar.
